Actors Ensemble is the longest-running theatre organization in Berkeley, founded in 1957. We aim to produce quality theatre emphasizing the ensemble, with a community flavor.  This year, our first full year out of the pandemic, we overcame many challenges to provide the community with a rich and varied theatrical experience - THREE significant productions, Three For Thought, Part II + One at LaVal's Subterranean Theatre and two productions at the John Hinkel Park Amphitheatre, A Room with a View and Faeries of the Moonlight, our first full productions in that beautiful venue since 2018. 

Due to construction delays and the resulting uncertainty of when and if John Hinkle Park would be available, Actors Ensemble is presenting its 2022 outdoor summer show "Fortinbras" at Kensington Amphitheater in Kensington, with no other productions scheduled this summer.  The amphitheater is not as accessible by public transportation as we'd like, but if you venture out we promise you a great show in a beautiful location. We'll return to Hinkle Park for our 2023 outdoor summer season.
