Actors Ensemble presents a staged reading of the fantastical Restoration comedy "The Emperor of the Moon", by pioneering female playwright Aphra Behn.  A moon-obsessed doctor, who imagines he sees through his telescope an empire of moon-men cavorting amidst the lunar landscape, ignores his daughters and their suitors, who must intervene in an imaginative and hilarious fashion to enable a happy ending!  Presented in a new adaptation by Erin Perry and Vicki Siegel, and directed by Erin Perry.

The performance will be one night only, on the evening of Tuesday, May 26th at 8 p.m. Tickets at the door will be Pay-What-You-Will. Performances will be held at La Val’s Subterranean Theater, in the basement of La Val's Pizza,1834 Euclid Ave, Berkeley, CA 94709, just north of the U.C. Berkeley campus, within walking distance of downtown Berkeley BART.
