Dost
our eyes deceive us, or would you like to join our crew? Whether
you'd like to act, direct or volunteer, we're happy you're
here. Join us for one production or for several seasons at a
time... we welcome contributions of any kind.
ACT
Actors Ensemble of Berkeley welcomes actors of all ages and backgrounds,
and just as our shows change each season—so does our need
for actors. Auditions are held a few months prior to a show and
usually consist of short, prepared monologues and/or cold readings
from the script.
If you have a résumé and head shot, please bring
it; if you don't, no problem—we'd still love to see you!
Next auditions:
Exit the King by Eugene Ionesco.
Directed by Jerome Solberg.
Needed are 6 adult actors: 2 male, 3 female, 1 either.
Auditions Sunday, November 16th and Monday, November 17th, 7-9 p.m.
Callbacks Wednesday, November 19th at
Live Oak Theatre.
Please prepare a classical monologue less than 2 minutes in length. To schedule an audition, please contact the director at jerome@aeofberkeley.org. There is no pay. Non-AEA production. Performances will be on Fridays and Saturdays (and at least one Thursday) January 23 - February 21 at Live Oak Theatre, 1301 Shattuck Avenue (at Berryman), Berkeley.
DIRECT
We are now accepting applications to direct! Please
us your directing resume, and we'll be
back in touch next summer.
VOLUNTEER
If you want
to help produce, direct, act, create sets, design costumes and
props, design or run sound and lights, do make-up,
help with lobby operations, publicity, marketing or recruitment...
we have a spot for you! (Experience, of course, is welcomed—but
certainly not required!) And if you really, really like us (What's
not to like?), and you want to keep hanging around—you
can become an AE Member which gives you discounted/complimentary
tickets,
casting preference and a vote in next season's shows.
How to get started? Either
us and tell us your interests,
or come to our next orientation!
Next volunteer orientation:
TBD
We can't wait to meet you!
