Auditions for Madame Gufay's Lovelutionaries

Actors Ensemble of Berkeley announces auditions for "Madame Gufay's Lovelutionaries", by Norah Foster, directed by Alan Barkan.

Part of a new series of plays in development we are calling "AEDiplay". Madame Gufay's Lovelutionaries will be performed Fridays and Saturdays, Dec. 12th-20th, 2014 at Live Oak Theatre, 1301 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley, CA, 94709.

Stage Manager

Interested in being a stage manager for an upcoming production? The SM is responsible for the distribution of the rehearsal schedule, contact list, and coordination of the lighting and sound for every show. The SM also works closely with the director to help actors learn their lines and is also responsible for the opening and closing of the theater on a nightly basis. Previous experience is preferred.

Set Builder

Help create new "worlds" on stage! You don't need any experience to be a Set Builder (we'll even teach you about carpentry and power tools, if you want)-- just a willingness to learn and have fun while we create the set for the next production.

Lighting Technicians

Ever wanted to see what goes on behind the scenes? And be a part of it?

Light Technicians have one of the most important jobs in theatre: making sure everyone can see. They also are responsible for setting the mood--by dimming the lights, turning on (and moving) the spotlight, making the audience sit in the dark (!) and more.
